The Incident

Seed Environmental were appointed to stabilise and reinstate a residential property in Norfolk following damage caused by a Burst Underground Water Main. The impacted property was a two bedroom brick built bungalow with a tiled roof on a two way street. Project works were carried out under a Minor Works JCT Contract.

The burst main washed the sub-floor slab aggregate out from beneath the floors of the building resulting in downward movement of the concrete floor slab, movement and cracking to the internal walls and consequential movement to floor and wall mounted fixtures and fittings, impacting upon all rooms in the property

The Solution

The Outcome

Once repairs to the floors were completed minor superstructure repairs to cracking in walls was undertaken, a new high end kitchen with granite worktops and new high end bathroom suite were fitted, minor electrical repairs completed and full final finishes; plastering, tiling, decorating and flooring delivered enabling successful return of the property to the owners.
